About Steve Holt

Steve came to know Christ as a freshman at the University of Georgia, while on a full athletic scholarship in gymnastics.  He spent 10 years on staff with Campus Crusade for Chris,t mostly in Japan.  After meeting his wife, Liz, while smuggling Bibles into China, they married and helped pioneer the university ministries in Tokyo and Okinawa.  In 1991, they came back to the United States and Steve attended Fuller Theological Seminary, graduating with an MD in Missiology.  He moved his family to Colorado Springs where they began Mountain Springs Church  in 1995.  The church has since grown to over 3000 active members. Steve is the founder of a network of churches, Word & Spirit Network, that currently is a covering for churches and ministries in America, Japan, India and Uganda.  His teaching ministry, Word & Spirit, can be heard daily in southern Colorado on KGFT 100.7.  Steve is passionate about coaching church planters, studying and teaching God’s Word, reading biographies, hunting and fishing. He loves spending time with Liz and his seven children in the mountains of Colorado.
